Diwali at Bhoomi Kitchen

As the nights draw in and the last harvest of the season dawns, millions of Hindus, Sikhs and Jains come together to celebrate Diwali. Across India, people celebrate Diwali – marked the “Festival of Light” with lamps and fireworks, and we’ll be lighting up Bhoomi Kitchen in Oxford and Cheltenham by decorating each table with our own special oil lamps.

This year, we’ll be celebrating at Bhoomi Kitchen with a selection of Diwali specials in Oxford and Cheltenham. From Malabari Scallops to the classic Ras Malai, the chefs at Bhoomi have created a delicious selection of iconic Indian dishes so you can feast on some of our festival favourites.

In South India, where our dishes were first concocted and devoured, Diwali is named ‘deepavali’, meaning “rows of lighted lamps”. Noted as the spectacular Festival of Lights, Diwali is seen as the time for new beginnings. And as we near the end of 2021, the time for new beginnings has never been more welcomed.

Celebrate with us at Bhoomi by enjoying our Diwali specials menu from 2-4 November. Bookings are strongly encouraged, so to join the festivities – head to the link below.
